Navasota completes Phase 1 drilling on its Bauxite Project, Republic of Guinea, West Africa
Navasota Resources Ltd. ("Navasota") is pleased to announce that the first phase of aircore drilling has been completed on the AMIG bauxite project in the Boke Bauxite Belt, in northwestern Guinea, West Africa. A total of 4865 metres of drilling in 246 drill holes tested 14 linked prospects in the southern part of the permit. A location map will be posted at www.navasota.com shortly.

The first phase aircore drilling program consisted of holes spaced at 300 to 600 metres over plateaus identified by a spectral and topographic analysis of Aster satellite imagery. Targets were ranked based on interpreted geomorphology, with residual bauxite plateaus ranking highest. Drilling consisted of shallow holes averaging 19.8 metres, with samples collected at 1-metre intervals downhole and logged for lithology and pedology. Samples are currently enroute to SGS Siguiri for sample preparation. Pulps will be analyzed for major oxides, including alumina (Al2O3), by XRF methods.
The mineral exploration permits are situated in the "Boke bauxite belt" of northwestern Guinea. The Boke bauxite belt hosts the world's largest and highest quality bauxite deposits with grades of 40% to 60% aluminium oxide. Navasota has the right to earn a 100% interest in the AMIG permit, which covers 1,064 square kilometres in the prefectures of Télemélé and Gaoual.
The permit area is located in a "very good neighbourhood" being directly surrounded by several of the world's major bauxite miners. Three refineries have been proposed for construction in the Boke belt in the next five years, all of which would be within close proximity to the AMIG permit area. As well, an existing railway line is located approximately 16km from the site. This line is apparently commercially available and runs an additional 135km to the port of Kamsar.
RSG Global Consulting of Perth, Australia is managing the program on behalf of Navasota. The drilling contractor is West African Drilling Services ("WADS").
Navasota Resources Ltd. also announces that it has terminated its interest in the Missamana and Gueliban properties located in Guinea, West Africa, and intends to focus its interest on its AMIG bauxiteproperty.
