Update on Navasota's Koba Bauxite Project, Guinea

Navasota Resources Ltd. (TSX-V : NAV) is pleased to report that aircore drilling on the Télimélé and Gaoual ("AMIG") permits of its Koba Project located in the Boke Bauxite Belt of northwestern Guinea, West Africa, is progressing well. To March 16, 2008, a total of 20,777 metres in 1,168 drill holes have been completed.

Phase 1 drilling, designed to confirm the presence of bauxite mineralization on 25 target "plateaus" identified through Aster satellite imagery analyses, totalled 9,538 metres and consisted of 495 shallow holes at 300 and 600-metre hole spacings. Selected assay results for two plateaus of this Phase 1 program are listed in Tables 1 and 2 below. Selected assay results for the Madina Diang, Nomo and Tito plateaus were presented in the Navasota news release of November 6, 2007. A location map can be found at www.navasota.com .

Assay results for 13 first phase drill holes (at 600-metre spacings) from the Ouda Plateau, adjoining the Nomo Plateau to the north, are listed in Table 1. Results confirmed the presence of an extensive bauxitic plateau and are similar to those from the Madina Diang, Nomo and Tito plateaus. The 13 intervals on Ouda Plateau have a weighted average of 41.15% Al2O3 and 2.20% SiO2 over a 9.31 metre thickness, using 35% Al2O3 and 6% SiO2 cut-off grades. Phase 2 drilling, at 150-metre spacings, recently commenced at Ouda.

Selected results for 26 holes from the Farenya Plateau, adjoining Madina Diang Plateau to the north, are listed in Table 2. These holes were drilled at 300-metre spacings. Again, results are similar to those from the Madina Diang, Nomo, and Tito plateaus. The Farenya bauxite intervals have a weighted average of 40.20% Al2O3 and 2.43% SiO2 over a 6.36 metre thickness, using 35% Al2O3 and 6% SiO2 cut-off grades.

Phase 1 Drilling Summary

Initial Phase 1 drilling was conducted from May, 2007 to January, 2008; interrupted by the rainy season from August to October. 495 holes totalling 9,538 metres were drilled on 25 plateaus located on the Télimélé permit and the southern part of the Gaoual permit.

Phase 2 Drill Program

Phase 2 drilling is designed to in-fill existing drilling at 150-metre spacings to determine bauxite mineralization continuity, grade and thickness variability; all necessary parameters for resource modelling. This in-fill program began in late January and has covered three large plateaus (Madina Diang, Farenya, and Nomo) in the southeastern part of the permit areas. To March 16th, a total of 11,239 metres in 673 in-fill holes had been completed. The program is being re-evaluated to determine the extent of Phase 2 drilling required to allow a global resource to be estimated.

Table 3 lists each plateau and summarizes the Koba Bauxite Project aircore drilling completed to date.

Navasota has retained Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc., part of the Scott Wilson Mining Group, to complete a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource estimate for the Koba Project. Coffey Mining, is managing the drill program on behalf of Navasota and West African Drilling Services are providing drill services.

General Information

Navasota has the right to earn a 100% interest in the "AMIG" permits, which cover 1,064 square kilometres in the Télimélé and Gaoual prefectures of Guinea. These permit areas are located in the Boke Bauxite Belt, which hosts the world's largest and highest-quality bauxite deposits, and are directly surrounded by several of the world's major bauxite miners. Three refineries have been proposed for construction in the Boke region in the next five years, all of which would be within close proximity to the Koba project area.

Christopher J. Wild, P.Eng, President and CEO of Navasota Resources Ltd, is Navasota's Qualified Person as described in Canadian National Instrument 43-101.
